This is a Low Profile "Cross of Lorraine" / "Cross of Anjou" Ring. This style is preferred
my many people because it is less obtrusive in daily life and doesn't catch as much on
things like pockets every time you dig for your keys. You can see the thickness of the
ring top in the profile picture. It is the same height as a regular Signet style ring. Very

The ring is Solid Sterling Silver. The Cross of Anjou is cast as part of the ring. It is
guaranteed to Not fall out. The ring top is a little over 5/8 inch on the wide part of the oval.
Finger Size 11 is pictured.
The Cross of Anjou ( Lorraine ) consists of one vertical and two evenly spaced horizontal
bars. It is a heraldic cross, used by the Dukes of Lorraine (previously known as the
Dukes of Anjou). This cross is related to the Crusader's cross, the standard of Joan of
Arc, and the six globes of the Medici family.
The Lorraine cross was carried to the Crusades by the original Knights Templar,
granted to them for their use by the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
